In autumn 2011, Oulu University of Applied Sciences and City of Oulu will start an energy efficient building project in collaboration with 10 building companies in Ritaharju, Oulu. At least seven of these building companies build their own energy efficient house to the block designated for the project. Houses will be measured with sensors for two years in order to gather data on energy consumption and building physics. The project offers an opportunity for building companies to prepare for tightening energy legislation in the future. (Source: yle.fi 29.3.2011)
