According to Statistics Finland, Finland’s GDP increased 2.7% in 2011, standing at 189 billion €. Many sectors have successfully recovered even though the economy of Finland is highly dependent on exports. Top growth appeared in the chemical and metal industries, whereas businesses, service sector, health, social services and real estate showed growth in assets. (Yle News, 12.7.2012)
