Finnish machinery companies reported an increase of almost 0,5 billion euros in their order catalogue when compared to the first quarter of 2011. Elevator manufacturing and service company Kone has announced record breaking orders for the beginning of 2012 and made a positive profit warning. Metso increased its orders even more than Kone. Metso's best businesses receiving the growth were mining and earthworks machinery and equipment. Ship and power solutions company Wärtsilä informed about rising orders as well, but the company has not yet reached its record amount which was accounted in 2008.
