25.04.2014

Finnish gas company Gasum has decided to build its first liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal to Pori. According to Gasum, the terminal will be 30 000 square metres, and it will decrease emissions and ease acquiring LNG in Finland. The gas distribution is intended for industrial, maritime, and road transports.

The LNG terminal will serve the entire Finnish west coast starting from autumn 2016. Another terminal is planned in Turku, the aim is to have building permissions in order to begin the building process in 2016. Gasum has had a LNG production facility in Porvoo since 2010.
