Pirkanmaa Health Care District will build three new buildings and an underground parking hall to the University Hospital of Tampere. Total cost of the project is estimated to be about EUR 200 million out of which EUR 150 million will be paid by the Health Care District. The project will begin in 2015 and the buildings should be finished between 2017 and 2019. The project’s labour accounts to 3 300 man-years in building, transporting and subcontracting.
The new buildings will have facilities for the most urgent patients such as children, musculoskeletal and cardiovascular diseases, as well as pregnant mothers, vascular and interventional radiology patients. (Source: www.tekniikkatalous.fi, 30.10.2014)
