Investments In Finland During 2015

Finnish paper, pulp and packaging company Stora Enso invests €43 million to wood building elements production line in Varkaus. The investment is expected to create 150 jobs in the area. The production line will be completed by the second half of 2016 and it is forecasted to produce 100 000 m3 of elements annually.

Fertilizer company Yara builds a new processing plant for mining waste to Siilinjärvi. The plant will be built by Finnish Outotec and it will employ 150 people at the construction stage, which will be expected to continue till 2017. Yara has invested over €500 million to Finland during 2007–2014, of which €350 million has gone to Siilinjärvi mine.

Helsinki will build a new travel terminal to the port of Jätkäsaari. The terminal will be built because ever increasing traffic between Estonia and Finland which cannot be handled by the existing terminals. The cost estimate for the travel terminal is €40-45 million.
