Extra Funding For Improving Finland’s Transportation Network

The Finnish government has granted €600 million extra funding for repairing and improving transportation routes. The funding period will be 2016-2018 and €100 million will be used already during 2016.

Also, the Finnish Transport Agency and Centres for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment run maintenance and repair operations with an annual budget of about €360 million. The Finnish Transport Agency estimates that the transportation routes’ renovation debt is €2.5 billion. (Source: www.tekniikkatalous.fi, 9.2.2016)
