07.08.2017

Finnish companies improve their energy efficiency in order to cut down costs. It is estimated that companies used about €800 million to cut down energy consumption during 2008-2014 and the trend continues. Examples include changing oil to biogas, recovery of waste heat and heat pumps. In 2014, companies’ energy usage improvements reduced energy consumption with 12 TWh, which is over three per cent of total energy consumption of Finland. (Sources: YLE 17.3.2016)
