Finnish fast food chain Hesburger has announced a €10 million investment to a vegetable protein factory, which will produce different kinds of vegetable protein products for the company’s 470 restaurants in nine countries. Most of these Hesburgers are located in Finland and the Baltic Countries. At the same time Hesburger informed that it will launch vegetable double and cheese burgers during 2019.
In December Finnish Bun2Bun, with two burger restaurants in Helsinki, announced that it is from now on 100 % vegan hamburger chain. Bun2Bun’s burgers are made of Beyond Meat vegetable steaks. (Sources: MTV3 & Iltalehti, 11.12.2018 & 12.12.2018)
